12-week English language and employment programme

This course which is offered by World Jewish Relief is an intensive, virtual, 12-week English language and employment programme for Ukrainians in the UK. It's open to anyone from Ukraine who is over 18 and arrived in the UK on either the Homes for Ukraine Sponsorship scheme, or is on the Ukraine Extension Scheme.

Over 5,000 individuals have now started the programme and we have seen hundreds of job outcomes. This programme is scheduled to end in the summer of 2024, there will only be a few more opportunities for those who want to participate to do so. Final registration will close in May 2024 although this date will be revised if all places are filled sooner.

Who is this for?

Open to people who are unemployed and for those who have a job but are hoping to move into more relevant employment. We can also support people interested in self-employment.

What's involved?

Designed to help Ukrainians find meaningful employment, the free programme consists of:

An intensive 10 weeks of 2.5 hour Monday to Friday English classes by the British Council, with options to take the lessons morning, afternoon or evening.

12 weeks of weekly employment support with a dedicated employment advisor, to support with: CV writing, job applications, interview prep, support with job search, and specialist workshops.

When does it start?

World Jewish Relief are offering an online open evening this Thursday 7th March from 8pm for individuals who want to know a little more about the programme, who have already applied or are considering applying.
